Africa is not one destination
Start with the country that matches the hunt you actually want.
Southern and East Africa are not one hunt. A Namibian farm week, a Zambezi Valley buffalo safari and a Botswana elephant concession barely share a climate — let alone a species list, a price, or the paperwork that follows.
These country guides are written to help you pick the right map, not just a country name. Each page covers why hunters go there, what is genuinely different, the hunting regions and provinces that matter, the best season, and practical advice before you enquire. When you know the country — or even if you do not — submit a free enquiry and we will match you with verified outfitters.

How to Choose a Country
A short way to narrow the map before you read a full guide.
First African hunt
Namibia (farms and Erongo) or South Africa’s Eastern Cape and Limpopo: easier logistics, malaria-free options, and outfitters used to first-time visitors.
Dangerous game
Zimbabwe’s Valley and Lowveld, Zambia’s GMAs, Mozambique coutadas, and Tanzania’s longer licences. Buffalo and cats need time in camp, not a five-day package.
Specialist species
Uganda kob and sitatunga, Zambia’s Bangweulu black lechwe, Masailand gazelles, Mozambique nyala, Namibian mountain zebra. Say the animal in the enquiry — the country follows.
Limited and remote
Botswana is quota-scarce community hunting. Angola is still pioneering. Both reward patience and punish last-minute plans.
