Missouri Dept. of Conservation – Free Mentored Deer Hunt for Women

According to Safari Club International, women who have not hunted deer before may join a program organized by the Missouri Department of Conservation. The offering is limited to first-time female hunters aged 18 and older. Instruction precedes the hunt and deals with hunting safety along with deer biology, deer management, and hunting tactics. Afterward, participants attend a free hunt under the guidance of a mentor at Prairie Fork Conservation Area. Pairing occurs with an experienced deer hunting mentor, and the quarry consists of antlerless deer. Limited space means the application cutoff falls on September 18.
